Welcome to True North Safety Certifications (“True North,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions(“Terms”) govern your access to and use of safecert.ca, including the purchase and completion of online safety training courses offered through our platform.

By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Use of Our Website & Services

• You must be at least 16 years of age to register for a course unless supervised by an employer or guardian.

• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

• You agree to use safecert.ca only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable OHS, CSA, and workplace safety regulations.

2. Course Enrollment & Certification​

• Access to training courses is granted upon successful payment unless otherwise arranged through a corporate account.

• Each course purchase provides a non-transferable, single-user license. Sharing login credentials is prohibited.

• Upon completing a course and passing required assessments, you will receive a digital certificate of completion.

• Certificates are valid for the specified duration outlined in the course details and may require renewal to remain compliant.

3. OHS & CSA Compliance

• All courses offered on safecert.ca are designed to meet or exceed Canadian Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and CSA standards.

• Employers are responsible for verifying that a certification meets site-specific or provincial regulatory requirements before assigning work.

4. Pricing, Payments & Refunds

• All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.

• Payments are processed securely via trusted third-party providers.

• Refund Policy:

  • Refunds are available only if the course has not been accessed or started.

  • Once a course has been opened, started, or completed, no refunds will be issued due to the instant delivery of digital course content and certificates.

  • For group purchases or corporate accounts, refund eligibility is outlined in the relevant business agreement.

5. Corporate Accounts & Team Training

• Employers who register for a corporate training account may receive:

  • Bulk enrollment discounts

  • Centralized reporting dashboards

  • Certificate expiry tracking

  • Custom invoicing or PO billing options

• Corporate account holders are responsible for ensuring that employee data provided is accurate and authorized.

6. Intellectual Property

• All course content, images, text, graphics, icons, and materials available on safecert.ca are the intellectual property of True North Safety Certifications or licensed providers, including BIS Training.

• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

• True North Safety Certifications provides training for educational purposes only.

• We are not responsible for any injuries, damages, losses, or legal consequences arising from the improper use of training materials or failure to follow workplace safety procedures.

• Employers are responsible for ensuring employees are qualified and competent before performing tasks requiring certifications.

8. Third-Party Providers

Some course materials are hosted or delivered via BIS Training. By enrolling, you acknowledge and agree to BIS Training’s terms of use and policies where applicable.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to this page.
